Ms. Senff is the AOIT English I teacher. She also teaches non-AOIT English I and English IV. Ms. Senff is originally from New York, moved to the Outer Banks, and then Cary. She began teaching from 1998 to 2005 in the Outer Banks and then from 2005 until now here at Apex. In her free time, she loves playing with her two huskies, training other dogs, reading books, solving mysteries (boxed subscription mysteries and escape rooms), playing softball, and boxing.
Mrs. Nobles is a former AOIT English IV teacher and currently teaches AOIT English III. This is her seventh year at both Apex and AOIT. She always loved being involved in AOIT at Apex and is also impressed by the students who come through the program. Outside of school, she enjoys watching the Pack, Canes, and Panthers play, spending time with friends and family, and diving into a book.
Ms. Murphy is the AOIT English II teacher. She attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and received her bachelor’s degree in English Education. She is currently pursuing a master’s at Appalachian State University in Curriculum Development. In her free time, she enjoys podcasting, reading true crime novels, and going to Ocean City, Maryland with family. Go Ravens!
Mr. Ferguson is a former AOIT English II teacher and currently teaches AOIT English IV. He started teaching at Apex High School in 1994. He is a huge advocate for AOIT and believes the program is beneficial to all students. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, jogging, going to sporting events, listening to live music, and watching movies (Top Gun, Harry Potter, Remember the Titans).
